105th St. Dog Run
"It's My Park Day"--May 19!It's My Park Day--May 19!

Partnership for ParksNew York City's Partnerships for Parks sponsors an annual Spring “It's My Park Day,” when thousands of New Yorkers come together to volunteer and celebrate their neighborhood parks and public spaces throughout the five boroughs! And we're going to participate by gathering volunteers for a big Spring Clean-Up of the dog run this Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm!

This work is an important first step in our efforts to clean up and restore this run over the next few months! If you can join us, please meet us at the run:

Saturday morning, May 19, 10:00am!

This dog run is entirely dependent on the efforts of local dog owners and park lovers for its care and support. Please give a few hours of your time to help care for this great neighborhood resource. We can’t do it without your help!

Come growł with us!

The 105th St. Dog Run User Group has been revived and we're looking to grow!

Defunct for years, the 105th St. Dog Run User Group has been brought back to life by a small group of neighborhood dog owners. This is important because, like all the dog runs in Riverside Park, the 105th St. Dog Run is publicly owned, but privately maintained—maintained, that is, by us: the dog run's users!

Please join with your neighbors to make our dog run a nicer, safer, more enjoyable place
for us and—most importantly—for our dogs!

  • Created a Facebook page and a Twitter account for the dog run (see below)
  • We're gearing up for a big day of volunteer clean-up activity on It's My Park Day (May 19)
  • We're getting cost estimates and making the other necessary arrangements for the dog run to be resurfaced
  • We're getting cost estimates on installing a separate entrance for the small-dog enclosure
  • We're planning fundraisers to pay for the dog run's most pressing needs (see list at right)
  • Resurface the entire run
  • Move the water source closer to the drainage grates so no stagnant pools form
  • Install a separate entrance gate for the small-dog enclosure
